President Bola Tinubu asserts that he has no cabal ties and funded his presidential campaign with personal wealth. During a meeting with Islamic leaders, Tinubu emphasized that his victory was due to divine intervention and outlined upcoming social welfare reforms. He criticized protest sponsors for prioritizing personal agendas over national interests.

President Bola Tinubu firmly denied allegations of owing any cabal for his election victory, stating that he used his fortune to fund his presidential campaign. Speaking to a delegation of Islamic leaders led by Sheikh Bala Lau at the State House on July 15, Tinubu emphasized that his success was the result of divine intervention.

Addressing concerns about possible external influences on his administration, Tinubu clarified, “I have no cabal. I have no sponsors. The money I spent on the elections was my fortune.” He recounted the challenging times during his campaign, including financial difficulties, but remained steadfast in his belief that his presidency was guided by God.

The President also touched upon his administration's efforts to mitigate the impact of economic reforms. He announced plans to enhance the social welfare scheme to better serve communities at the ward level, provide student loans, and increase support for education and housing. Tinubu underscored his commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians, including a significant increase in the minimum wage.

Criticizing the motives behind protests, Tinubu warned that they could lead to violence and hinder national progress. He accused protest sponsors of prioritizing personal gains over the nation’s welfare and urged caution against actions driven by hate and anger. The President called for unity and constructive engagement to advance the country’s development and ensure a stable future.
