Enyimba FC secured their first CAF Confederation Cup Group D victory with a dominant 4-1 win over Mozambique’s Black Bulls. Goals from Joseph Atule, Brown Ideye, and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele highlighted the match. The win boosts Enyimba’s qualification hopes, placing them within striking distance of the group’s second spot.

Enyimba FC recorded a resounding 4-1 victory over Mozambique’s Black Bulls in their CAF Confederation Cup Group D clash at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo. The win marked their first triumph in the group stage, with goals from Joseph Atule, Brown Ideye, and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele showcasing a dominant performance.

Joseph Atule opened the scoring within six minutes, capitalizing on a defensive error to give Enyimba an early lead. However, the Black Bulls equalized shortly after when Ejaita Ifoni took advantage of a defensive lapse to make it 1-1.

Enyimba regained control before halftime, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele netting a spectacular half-volley to restore their advantage. This marked his fifth goal of the season, solidifying his status as the club’s leading scorer.

In the second half, Enyimba maintained pressure, creating multiple chances. Brown Ideye, a former Super Eagles striker, came on as a substitute and extended the lead with a composed finish, his first goal for the club.

Atule capped off the scoring in the 90th minute, sealing a crucial win that elevated Enyimba to four points in Group D. Despite the victory, the team remains at the bottom of the table, tied on points with Black Bulls and one point behind second-placed Al Masry.

Coach Stanley Eguma praised his team’s performance in his first continental match in charge, emphasizing their improved chances of advancing to the knockout stages with two games remaining.
