The session, presided over by Speaker Rt Hon Martins Amaewhule, witnessed the suspension of key political figures amid a charged atmosphere.
Reports indicate that the explosion that rocked the Assembly the previous night was allegedly orchestrated to prevent lawmakers from accessing the Assembly on Monday. Despite the upheaval, a group of lawmakers managed to make their way into the House as early as 7 am. They swiftly convened a plenary session, where they collectively signed an impeachment notice against Governor Fubara, intensifying the political crisis.
