Bandits have launched a brutal attack on Kukar Babangida town in Jibia local government area of Katsina state, resulting in the tragic deaths of the village head, Magaji Haruna, and his son, Idris Haruna.

According to an anonymous resident, the assailants killed a total of nine people, with three victims including the village head's son murdered in the same house. Additionally, two watchmen from a local company, Tinna Tech, were attacked, leading to the gruesome slaughter of one and the other being shot. The bandits also set ablaze two trucks and a Gulf car belonging to the company.

Another disturbing revelation indicates the abduction of an unspecified number of women during the assault. Residents express frustration over the perceived failure of security forces to prevent the attack, calling for a thorough investigation by the Katsina state government.

This incident follows a recent pattern of increased banditry in the region, raising concerns about the effectiveness of security measures.
