Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has raised urgent concerns over the escalating violence and terror attacks in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Katsina states. In a statement, Obi stressed the need for immediate and decisive action to protect Nigerian lives and property.
While commending discussions on State Policing, he urged a proactive approach, stating, "Such a high level of insecurity, when combined with the high level of hunger and poverty in the country, forms a perfect recipe for disaster." Obi highlighted recent tragic events, including the mosque attack in Katsina and the assault on a police station in Zamfara.
He called for swift measures to restore peace, offering condolences to affected families and solidarity with those in captivity. Obi urged the government and security agencies to prioritize the safety and well-being of all Nigerians amidst the growing security crisis.
