A 60-year-old married woman, Serifatu Disu, died during a visit to a man’s residence in Ogun State. She collapsed after complaining of chest pains. Despite efforts to save her, she passed away. The man, Olalekan Ogunjobi, is under investigation as the cause of death remains unclear.
A 60-year-old married woman, Serifatu Disu, tragically passed away on the night of December 18, 2024, while visiting a man named Olalekan Ogunjobi at his home in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. Disu complained of chest pains around 12:40 a.m. and collapsed shortly afterward. Despite Ogunjobi's attempts to provide first aid, she lost consciousness and passed away.
The Ogun State Police were immediately alerted, and the body was taken to Ijebu-Ode Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. At present, the relationship between Disu and Ogunjobi remains unclear. Ogunjobi has been taken into police custody for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
This incident follows a similar case earlier in December when a young woman died under suspicious circumstances, prompting a wider investigation into unexplained deaths in the region.
