The soldiers were stationed at a checkpoint when approximately 30 armed assailants, suspected to be IPOB/ESN members, launched a coordinated attack using three black Toyota Land Cruiser Jeeps.
During the assault, the gunmen enforced a sit-at-home order, opened fire on the troops, and burned two military patrol vehicles.
