Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded to the ongoing rumors suggesting her involvement in the death of popular singer, Mohbad. The 26-year-old musician passed away on September 12, 2023, and his body was exhumed for an autopsy on September 21 to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a recent appearance on the Glass House podcast with comedian AY Makun, Iyabo addressed claims linking her to Mohbad's death. She expressed frustration at the accusations, emphasizing that she was not close to the singer, having only met him once at a music festival. Despite not having a close relationship with him, Iyabo noted that some individuals had insinuated she was responsible for his death.

The actress also questioned the logic behind these accusations, particularly in light of her efforts to ensure Mohbad’s body was exhumed for further investigation. She pointed out that if she had been involved, it would not make sense for her to advocate for an autopsy. Iyabo dismissed the claims that she had any political or financial motivation behind her actions, refuting speculations that she was seeking political leverage or financial gain from the tragedy.

In her own words, she described Mohbad as a "cool boy" who was facing personal struggles and focused on his music. Iyabo’s statement further clarified her position and aimed to clear up any misunderstandings surrounding her involvement in the tragic event.
