The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has unveiled the cost structure for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registrations. Candidates taking the UTME with a mock test will pay ₦8,700, while those opting out of the mock exam will be charged ₦7,200.

In addition, JAMB introduced a mock trial registration for future candidates, costing ₦3,500. The fee for DE registration is set at ₦5,700.

A breakdown of the charges includes an application fee of ₦3,500, ₦1,000 for the reading text, ₦700 for the CBT center registration service, and ₦1,500 for the CBT service. The mock trial comes with an extra ₦1,500 charge, while candidates are also expected to pay ₦500 for bank charges.

Registration for UTME opens on January 31, 2025, and will close on March 8, 2025. DE registration will begin on March 10 and run until April 7, 2025. All candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) to generate a profile for the registration. The process can be completed via the NIMC system, where candidates will use a phone number linked to someone close to them for easier retrieval in case of issues.

JAMB urged all applicants to carefully protect their profiles, as retrieval of lost cards will not be possible after they are damaged.
