Lagos PDP chieftain Hakeem Olalemi has accused Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) of being an APC mole, alleging he sabotaged the party before defecting. Olalemi claimed Jandor's presence weakened PDP in Lagos and vowed to rebuild ahead of 2027. Jandor, however, cited PDP’s internal crisis as his reason for leaving.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Hakeem Olalemi, has alleged that Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, was planted in the party by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to weaken the opposition.

Jandor, who was the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 Lagos elections, recently announced his return to the APC, citing internal conflicts and a lack of party discipline as reasons for his defection.

Reacting to the development, Olalemi dismissed concerns over Jandor’s departure, stating that the former candidate had done more harm than good to the party. He accused Jandor of infiltrating the PDP to disrupt its structure and blamed party leaders for handing him the governorship ticket without proper scrutiny.

Despite the setback, Olalemi expressed optimism about the PDP’s future, vowing that the party would rebuild and present a stronger challenge in the 2027 elections.

Jandor’s move has reignited debates about party loyalty and internal divisions within Nigeria’s major political parties. His return to the APC raises questions about the impact of his brief stint with the opposition and whether his defection was part of a larger political strategy.
