In a tragic incident, bandits have unleashed violence in Kwassam and Sabon Layin communities of Kaduna State, claiming the lives of at least six individuals, including a former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and his younger brother.
The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) spokesperson, Josiah Abraks, revealed that the bandits attacked Kwassam on Friday night and simultaneously kidnapped 50 people in Sabon Layin.
Despite the police yet to confirm the incident, Abraks calls on the Kaduna State Government and security agencies to intensify efforts against the persistent terrorizing of Southern Kaduna communities. Governor Uba Sani urges the military to sustain aggressive operations in flashpoint areas, emphasizing the commitment to securing lives and properties.
The government reassures residents of its determination to bring development and good governance despite the challenges posed by insecurity.
