This legislative move paved the way for the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi as Emir by Governor Abba Yusuf on Friday. Bayero, who had been in Ogun State amidst the unfolding drama, landed at the Aminu Kano International Airport around 4:30 am to a jubilant reception from supporters.
Chants from the Holy Quran reverberated as his convoy made its way through the city's streets, reportedly heading towards the palace.
