Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso criticizes the Federal Government for distributing rice palliatives to 35 states, excluding Kano. He urges President Tinubu to address this injustice and highlights security concerns in Kano due to frequent DSS personnel changes. His remarks sparked mixed reactions on social media regarding political priorities.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the national leader of the NNPP and 2023 presidential candidate, expressed his disappointment over the Federal Government’s distribution of rice palliatives. In a tweet, Kwankwaso revealed that while rice was distributed to 35 states through their governors, Kano State’s share was handled by APC stalwarts. He called this action an "insult to democracy" and urged President Tinubu to immediately address the issue. He also raised concerns over the frequent posting and reposting of DSS directors in Kano, stating that it undermines the state's security.

Kwankwaso’s remarks sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some criticized him for focusing on rice distribution instead of more pressing issues like insecurity. One user commented, "You never mentioned the killings in the North, but you are talking about rice." Another sarcastically asked, "So na rice be your problem this time?"

Other users made light-hearted jokes about the situation, with some mockingly requesting two bags of rice, implying Kwankwaso was overly concerned with the palliative. Some users also took the opportunity to air unrelated grievances, like a failed POS transaction with a bank.

Kwankwaso's comments ignited debate, with critics questioning his priorities and his focus on rice palliatives rather than larger national issues. The controversy highlights growing tensions between political figures and their handling of state resources.
