Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner KellyRae has expressed his frustration over the numerous requests for financial help he’s been receiving from family and friends since he publicly revealed a substantial gift to his wife, Kassia. After announcing that he gifted Kassia N55 million from his total prize of N60 million, KellyRae has been overwhelmed with requests from acquaintances asking for a portion of his winnings.
In a conversation with media personality Hero Daniels, KellyRae shared his concerns, saying, “I started getting calls from people close to us after I mentioned giving Kassia N55 million, and they were inquiring about their share of my prize money.” He pointed out that, contrary to what some might think, he is not as financially stable as it appears.
“I want to clarify to everyone that I’m not a rich man yet. Yes, the money is considerable, but living costs are high. Even if I want to buy eggs, I have to consider how many crates I can afford. I need some time to adjust,” he explained, emphasizing the financial challenges many face today.
In addition to his cash prize, KellyRae received a new car worth N40 million. He urged his supporters to allow him the necessary time to handle his finances wisely, underscoring the broader struggle young Nigerians encounter as they navigate financial pressures in today's economy.
