Kenneth Okonkwo, former Labour Party supporter, meets with Atiku Abubakar to discuss Nigeria’s future. After leaving the Labour Party due to dissatisfaction with Peter Obi’s leadership, Okonkwo seeks cooperation with Atiku for a better Nigeria.

Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party and an actor-turned-politician, recently met with former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar to discuss Nigeria's future. Okonkwo had been a strong supporter of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, during the last election. However, by mid-2024, he became disillusioned with the party’s leadership and criticized Obi for lacking direction.

After quitting the Labour Party, Okonkwo was invited for a consultative meeting by Atiku, who was also the PDP’s presidential candidate in the previous election. Following the meeting, Okonkwo expressed his honor and privilege in joining Atiku to strategize for a better Nigeria. He emphasized that the country's current situation requires collective effort to restore it to its greatness.

This meeting signifies a shift in Okonkwo’s political allegiance, potentially marking the start of a new chapter in his political career.
