Nigerian police rescued Folashade Odumosu, the wife of retired AIG Hakeem Odumosu, after she was abducted near her Ogun State residence. The operation, led by CP Lanre Ogunlowo, neutralized the kidnappers and recovered the ransom. Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun praised the swift action, reinforcing police commitment to public safety.

Folashade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, was rescued by the Nigeria Police after being abducted on January 16, 2025, in the Arepo area of Ogun State.

The kidnappers had taken her from her vehicle at her residence and led her through a swampy region. Following a swift operation led by the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, the police successfully freed her and neutralized the criminals involved. The police also recovered the ransom paid by her family as part of the kidnappers' demands, though the exact amount was not disclosed. Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun praised the efforts of the police operatives in securing her release.
