Gunmen have abducted about twenty travellers on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Expressway, staging the incident near the Sagamu area command and Ilishan township. The police have not yet confirmed the incident.
Wemmy Osude, chairman of the Ilishan Development Council, reported one victim shot in the knee, receiving treatment at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. Others were taken into the bush, prompting calls for rescue efforts.
