Fatai Mogaji, who allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend Opeyemi in Lagos, has been captured. Mogaji, accused of stabbing Opeyemi 22 times, was caught at a bar in Ikorodu. He is now in custody at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Panti, Yaba.

Fathai Mogaji, man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend Opeyemi, has been apprehended in Lagos.

Mogaji had been on the run since allegedly stabbing Opeyemi 22 times at a club in Ikorodu on July 10, 2024. Opeyemi's sister confirmed the tragic incident, recounting how the two had reunited and spent time together before the fatal altercation at around 5 a.m.

The breakthrough came on August 5, when Mogaji was captured by friends and well-wishers at F1 Bar in Ikorodu. He was promptly handed over to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Panti, Yaba.
Opeyemi's sister expressed gratitude on social media, stating, "My sister's killer, Fatai Mogaji Abdulsalam, was caught last night at F1 Bar Ikorodu by well-wishers and Ope’s friends. He has been moved to Panti Police Station."


The news of Mogaji's arrest has sparked intense reactions online. Many condemned Mogaji's actions, with one commenter noting, "Foolish mumu, you kill person still dey around go bar.
