In Lagos State, police have initiated an investigation into the tragic death of a 19-year-old boy reportedly beaten to death by his father. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, the incident was reported to the Alagbado Police Division on Tuesday. Allegedly, the father, identified as Olumide, inflicted a severe cut on his son Adeyemi's right-hand side with a shovel during disciplinary measures, causing critical injuries.

Adeyemi was initially treated at a local hospital but later succumbed to tetanus infection at General Hospital Ikeja. The father is currently evading authorities, and the case remains under active investigation by local detectives.
