Landmark Africa has partnered with Enugu State Government to manage and rejuvenate the Nike Lake Resort. This joint venture aims to transform the 150-hectare resort into a world-class tourism and leisure destination, restoring its former glory as a hotel, convention center, and recreational site.
Landmark Africa Group has entered into a strategic partnership with the Enugu State Government to manage and rejuvenate the Nike Lake Resort, a 150-hectare property. The agreement, signed on January 16, 2025, marks a significant move to transform the resort into a world-class tourism and leisure destination.
The joint venture allows Landmark Africa to provide management and operations, while the Enugu State contributes the Nike Lake Resort as an asset. The project aims to restore the resort to its former status as one of the country’s top leisure spots, with plans to revitalize its hotel, convention center, and recreational facilities.
Landmark Africa’s CEO, Paul Onwuanibe, expressed his optimism about Enugu’s potential, noting the state’s opportunity to become the tourism hub of the South East and Nigeria. He highlighted Landmark’s expertise in creating successful business, leisure, and lifestyle platforms, positioning the resort for future success.
Although reports suggest a 35-year lease for the project, details regarding the terms of the agreement have yet to be confirmed. This partnership follows Landmark’s recent acquisition of waterfront land in Port Harcourt, where the company is working with the Rivers State Government to redevelop the Port Harcourt Tourist Beach.
The collaboration signals Landmark Africa's expansion strategy, further solidified by its plans to relocate its Nigerian headquarters and extend its presence into multiple African countries.
