Robert Lewandowski etched his name among football’s elite by scoring his 100th Champions League goal in Barcelona’s match against Stade Brestois on Tuesday. The Polish striker achieved this milestone just 10 minutes into the game, adding to his six goals in five appearances this season.
Lewandowski becomes only the third player in Champions League history to reach 100 goals, joining the legendary Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo holds the record with 141 goals, while Messi follows with 129. Lewandowski’s consistency across top clubs has been instrumental in his rise, scoring for Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona throughout his career.
His Champions League journey includes a standout performance in 2020 when he netted 15 goals in Bayern Munich’s victorious campaign. This latest milestone reflects his sustained excellence at the highest level of European football.
Barcelona’s victory over Brest also reinforced their dominant form in La Liga, where they currently sit four points clear of second-placed Real Madrid. Lewandowski and his teammates are preparing for their next domestic fixture against Las Palmas on Saturday.
