Lil Smart reveals why he avoided meeting Verydarkman (VDM) in Abuja despite receiving N1 million for his case against Naira Marley. He expressed mistrust over VDM’s intentions, citing his handling of the Mohbad case, and questioned VDM’s sudden interest in his assault allegations.
Nigerian dancer Lil Smart has revealed why he intentionally avoided meeting media personality Verydarkman (VDM) in Abuja despite receiving N1 million from him for a flight ticket. Lil Smart had earlier accused singers Naira Marley and Zinoleesky of assault and attempted kidnapping, leading VDM to offer support in pursuing the case.
However, Lil Smart decided to ghost VDM after becoming suspicious of his intentions, particularly in light of VDM’s involvement in the controversial handling of late singer Mohbad’s case. Lil Smart cited VDM’s actions during the Mohbad saga, where VDM focused on a DNA test for Mohbad's son rather than addressing the main issues surrounding the late artist's death.
Lil Smart explained his decision, stating that just because VDM sent him money didn’t mean he would comply with his requests or share all his actions. He also expressed discomfort with VDM labeling his video of the assault as “not adding up.” These actions, combined with VDM’s past handling of sensitive cases, made Lil Smart hesitant to involve him in his case.
Following Lil Smart’s lack of response, VDM requested that he return the N1 million, stating he was no longer interested in pursuing the allegations against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky.
