Lionel Messi has ruled out coaching after retirement, focusing instead on the present with Inter Miami. The 37-year-old superstar remains open to the 2026 World Cup but is undecided. Messi praised Miami's growth and insisted on the club’s limitless ambitions to excel in MLS and internationally.

In a recent interview, 37-year-old Lionel Messi disclosed that he does not plan to pursue coaching once he retires from football. Speaking with Fabrizio Romano for '433,' Messi shared, "I wouldn't like to be a coach," although he admitted he's still uncertain about his plans. Messi explained that he's focused on enjoying the present, stating, "I value much more than before everything I do on a day-to-day basis. I just think about playing, training, and having fun."

When asked about playing for Argentina in the 2026 World Cup, Messi left the door open but was noncommittal. "The truth is, I don't know. I've been asked several times, especially in Argentina," he said. For now, his focus is on completing the current season and undergoing a proper preseason, which he missed previously due to extensive travel.

Reflecting on Inter Miami’s journey, Messi acknowledged the strides made and the challenges ahead. "We were happy and celebrated the achievement, but we had some avoidable mistakes that, in playoffs, could lead to elimination," he noted. He believes in the club's limitless potential, saying, "The club does not set limits, that is the philosophy. We have to keep growing to be great within the MLS and, why not, the world."

Messi's passion for the game and commitment to Inter Miami's future remain undiminished, even as he contemplates life beyond the pitch.
