A viral series of extraordinary testimonies from members of The Lord’s Chosen Church, including claims of miraculous rescues and overpowering robbers, has sparked social media outrage and skepticism. Activist Martins Vincent Otse threatens legal action, accusing the church of misleading believers, while the church defends the testimonies as dreams.

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has recently been thrust into the spotlight following a series of viral testimonies from its members, which have sparked significant reactions across social media. The testimonies include one where a member claimed to have been rescued by a lion during an attempted kidnapping. Another testimony involved a female member who recounted overpowering armed robbers and seizing their AK-47 rifles.

While these claims were met with both disbelief and ridicule, some have raised serious concerns about the validity of the testimonies. Popular Nigerian activist, Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has threatened legal action against the church, accusing it of misleading the public with exaggerated stories. He called for an investigation by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

In response, the church has denounced the viral videos as doctored, claiming the testimonies were taken out of context. The church's spokesperson, Pastor Chidi Louis, stated that the incidents described in the testimonies were dreams, not real-life events. He urged the public to visit the church’s platform for the full context of the testimonies.

Despite this defense, the videos have fueled widespread debate, with many questioning the authenticity of the church's claims. The controversy continues to unfold as more Nigerians express their opinions online.
