JAMB will conduct a mop-up exam for candidates who missed the 2025 UTME, following technical errors and widespread complaints over exam integrity.
- Over 379,000 candidates were affected by technical faults at 157 centres, mostly in Lagos and the South-East.
- A previous resit was held in May, but 5.6% of candidates couldn’t participate due to logistical or personal reasons.
- All absentees, regardless of reason, will now be eligible to retake the exam during the upcoming mop-up round.
Many candidates expressed frustration over the challenges, including long travel distances and server issues. Some say their academic future feels uncertain, while others hope the mop-up is a chance to finally prove themselves.
As JAMB prepares for another round of exams, will this effort restore public trust and ensure fairness for all candidates?
