Darkoo accused Mr P of sabotaging her music video for "Focus on Me" by having it taken down after she declined his request to feature on the track. However, Mr P's management denied the claims, clarifying that the video was removed due to improper clearance by Darkoo’s team.

On January 13, 2025, a dispute erupted between rising British-Nigerian singer Darkoo and Peter Okoye of the now-defunct P-Square. Darkoo accused Mr P of deliberately taking down her music video for "Focus on Me," alleging that he was sabotaging her career. She claimed the video was removed for six days after she declined his request to feature on the track. Darkoo also accused Mr P of insisting on excluding his brothers, Jude and Paul Okoye, from the clearance process, only to retaliate when she did not comply.

In response, Mr P's management team, One Management, refuted these accusations, labeling them "opportunistic" and "malicious." They explained that Darkoo's team failed to follow the proper clearance process for the song, which sampled P-Square’s "Gimme Dat," despite Mr P's assistance and guidance. The management revealed that Darkoo's team sought clearance from an unauthorized entity, which led to the video being taken down on January 2 to prevent legal issues. They emphasized that the video was reinstated once the proper agreement was executed, denying claims of sabotage or personal vendettas.

One Management also clarified that Darkoo's claims about Mr P demanding a 50% split or featuring on the track were false. They maintained that the matter was resolved professionally and accused Darkoo of using the controversy to promote her music.
