Air Peace has experienced significant disruptions in its flight operations after three separate bird strike incidents in the past 24 hours. The airline confirmed that the incidents affected three aircraft, leading to air returns and mandatory safety checks.

According to Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace, the first bird strike occurred on Thursday, prompting an air return. Two more incidents followed on Friday, forcing the airline to ground the affected aircraft for inspections and maintenance.

"As a safety-conscious airline, Air Peace prioritizes the well-being of our passengers and crew. We have initiated safety inspections and maintenance procedures to ensure our aircraft meet the highest safety standards before returning to service," Ndiulo stated.

He further apologized to passengers for any inconvenience caused and assured them that Air Peace is actively working on rescheduling and alternative travel arrangements where necessary.

The airline has urged passengers to remain patient while the affected aircraft undergo necessary safety procedures. Air Peace emphasized that every decision is made with passengers' safety as the top priority.

This disruption follows growing concerns over aviation safety in Nigeria, particularly regarding bird strikes, which have previously affected multiple airlines. Passengers are advised to stay updated with Air Peace regarding their flight schedules.
