In a recent interview with ARISE NEWS, Musa Saidu, the district head of the northern traditional council in Rivers State, expressed skepticism regarding the agreements signed by Governor Sim Fubara in the villa, asserting that they were made under duress and aimed at humiliating him.
Saidu emphasized that Fubara, despite the alleged pressure, would not surrender his mandate and criticized the terms of the peace agreement brokered by President Tinubu.
Legal practitioner Frank Tietie also condemned the agreement, deeming it "worthless" and calling on Rivers people not to give it much attention.
Tietie argued that the agreement was a political intervention lacking legal basis and suggested that Fubara had been weakened before signing it.
The unfolding political dynamics in Rivers State continue to raise questions about the validity and implications of the peace accord.
