In a recent development, singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also called Sam Larry, have been granted bail by a Magistrate's Court in Yaba, Lagos. The court set their bail amount at N20 million and required them to have three responsible sureties. These two, along with two others, had been arraigned and remanded in custody since October 6 in connection with the circumstances surrounding the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, ruled that the defendants must surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, as part of the bail conditions. She also issued a stern warning, stating that no one should attempt to contact her directly regarding the case, emphasizing that such attempts would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings. This development marks a significant step in the legal proceedings surrounding the case, allowing Naira Marley and Sam Larry to secure their temporary release while the investigation continues.
