Lagos police arrest popular musician Portable over unpaid debt for a G-Wagon purchase. The artist allegedly owes N14 million after only paying N13 million for the N27 million vehicle.
The Lagos State Police Command made headlines as they apprehended Habeeb Okikiola, alias Portable, a prominent musician, for his alleged failure to settle a debt incurred from the purchase of a G-Wagon.
Reports suggest that Portable only paid N13 million out of the N27 million total cost of the vehicle, leaving a substantial N14 million balance unpaid. This dispute prompted the car dealer to escalate the matter to the authorities, resulting in Portable's arrest.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, verified the incident, confirming Portable's detainment without providing further details regarding the ongoing investigation.
