Elon Musk reportedly offered $15 million to conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair to keep their child’s birth confidential. The offer included monthly support, but was declined over concerns about legal protections. After public disclosure, Musk allegedly reduced the payments despite paternity tests strongly confirming him as the father.
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is back in the headlines, this time for reportedly attempting to keep the birth of his 14th child under wraps. Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair claims she gave birth to Musk's son, Romulus, in late 2024 and says she was offered a substantial financial package to maintain silence.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk’s representative, Jared Birchall, allegedly offered St. Clair a one-time payment of $15 million, plus $100,000 per month in child-related support. In return, she was expected to keep Musk's identity off the birth certificate and avoid publicly discussing their relationship or the child’s paternity.
Despite this, St. Clair declined the arrangement, citing concerns about the agreement's lack of long-term security for her son, especially in cases of health emergencies or Musk’s untimely death. After she publicly acknowledged Musk as the father in a February post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk allegedly reduced the agreed support payments significantly.
Musk responded by stating that he had provided financial help but was uncertain about paternity, even though a DNA test reportedly showed a 99.9999% match.
St. Clair expressed a desire to raise her son in privacy, away from media scrutiny. Musk, who is already father to children with singer Grimes, Shivon Zilis, and ex-wife Justine Musk, has not commented further.
