The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized unregistered food products worth over N3.8 billion in a raid conducted at a warehouse in Apongbon Oke Arin Market, Lagos. Acting on a tip-off, NAFDAC's Investigation & Enforcement Directorate discovered various food items lacking proper registration.

The products, valued at N3,818,802,720, were promptly confiscated, and the warehouse has been temporarily shut down for further investigation. The facility's management has been summoned for questioning, and NAFDAC emphasized that appropriate legal actions will follow once the investigation is completed.

NAFDAC reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public health by ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. The agency also urged the public, especially during the festive season, to stay alert and report any suspicious activities related to unapproved food products.
