Naira Marley has spoken out after a court cleared him of involvement in Mohbad’s death. He expressed frustration over false accusations and the delay in Mohbad’s burial. The court ruled that a nurse and a friend were responsible for medical negligence, while public opinion remains divided over the case.

Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has spoken out following his exoneration by the Yaba Magistrate Court in the case concerning the death of fellow artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Marley expressed his frustration over being accused of involvement in Mohbad’s passing. He revealed that although they had disagreements, they had settled their differences before Mohbad’s death. The artist lamented the emotional turmoil he endured while being labeled guilty in the court of public opinion.

"I have carried this weight, this pain, this shame that was never mine to bear," Marley wrote. He criticized those who, despite knowing the truth, allowed him to be vilified. He also condemned the delay in Mohbad’s burial, stating that those closest to him should have spoken up earlier.

The court ruling, which cleared Marley, his associate Sam Larry, and Prime Boy, instead found an auxiliary nurse and a friend of the deceased responsible for medical negligence. The nurse allegedly administered an injection that contributed to Mohbad’s sudden demise.

Despite his legal vindication, Marley remains a polarizing figure in the controversy. His statement reiterated his innocence and called for truth and justice to prevail. He concluded by affirming his resilience, saying, “I have been broken, but I am not destroyed.”

The case continues to spark debate, with fans and critics divided over the court’s verdict and the lingering questions surrounding Mohbad’s tragic death.
