Napoli, the reigning Italian champions, is reportedly growing increasingly concerned as their star striker, Victor Osimhen, has yet to return to Italy. Osimhen sustained a hamstring muscle injury during a friendly match between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia on October 13. Since then, he has missed Napoli's last three consecutive games.
The 24-year-old Nigerian forward has remained in his home country since the injury, leaving Napoli in a state of anticipation. Furthermore, ongoing contract negotiations have added to the uncertainty surrounding his return.
Gazzetta dello Sport, in its Wednesday edition, reported that Osimhen has not yet made the trip back to Italy. Napoli is eager for him to commence the intensive phase of his recovery work next week, allowing the club to begin preparations for his return to the field
