The event, organized by The Patriots and the June 12 Pro-Democracy Movement, aims to promote democratic reforms in Nigeria.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso are scheduled to address a national democracy rally in Lagos on June 12, commemorating Democracy Day.

Organized by The Patriots and the June 12 Pro-Democracy Movement, the event aims to advocate for a people's constitution and honor MKO Abiola's legacy. Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu will also address the rally, chaired by Chief Emeka Anyaoku. Notable figures like Dr. Olisa Agbakoba SAN and Prof. Attahiru Jega will contribute to discussions on democratic reforms.

Additionally, Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka was slated to provide a keynote address but has been replaced by Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Col. Umar Dangiwa due to prior commitments. The event will culminate in a motorcade procession to MKO Abiola's residence for tributes and prayers.
