Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi scored his first goal of the season in a 4-0 Carabao Cup victory against Tranmere Rovers. Jordan Ayew, Stephy Mavididi, and Harry Winks also contributed to the win. Leicester City secured a 4-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with Wilfred Ndidi opening his goal account for the season.

Ndidi scored in the 71st minute, assisted by Jordan Ayew, who also found the net earlier. Stephy Mavididi and Harry Winks added two more goals, sealing the win. Ndidi was substituted in the 72nd minute after a strong performance.

In another match, Alex Iwobi played for Fulham in their 2-0 victory over Birmingham, while his fellow Nigerian, Calvin Bassey, was an unused substitute.

The trio—Ndidi, Iwobi, and Bassey—has been called up for Nigeria's 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Crystal Palace, Watford, QPR, Everton, and Stoke also won their respective matches in the Carabao Cup.
