The NDLEA raided a drug party in Abuja, arresting 60 suspects and seizing ecstasy and cannabis. Additionally, 6,125 cartons of codeine syrup were intercepted at Onne port, and two suspects were arrested at Lagos airport for cocaine ingestion. Cannabis farms were also destroyed in Edo state.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raided a drug party in Sun City estate, Abuja, on Friday, arresting 60 suspects. Dubbed "Go Hard or Go Home: Pick Your Poison," the party saw 33 of the suspects testing positive for illicit drugs, while 20 tested negative. Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, confirmed that those who tested negative were released unconditionally, while those who tested positive were released on bail with orders to report for counseling. Organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, who was arrested at the venue, the party also led to the seizure of ecstasy and cannabis from six individuals.

In addition to the party raid, NDLEA intercepted 6,125 cartons of codeine syrup, valued at over N7.3 billion, from six containers at the Onne port in Rivers state. Two suspects at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, were arrested for ingesting illicit substances; one excreted 90 wraps of cocaine, while the other discharged 60 wraps. It was revealed that one of the suspects, Aikhomoun Daniel, had stolen his late uncle’s identity to obtain a Schengen visa.

Furthermore, four suspects were apprehended in a forest in Igueben LGA, Edo state, where NDLEA operatives destroyed 18,632.22 kilograms of cannabis cultivated on 7.452888 hectares of farmland. These operations highlight the NDLEA's ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria.
