NFF battles to secure Herve Renard as Super Eagles coach following Finidi George's departure amid disappointing World Cup qualifiers. Renard, eyed by US and Saudi clubs, plans to exit France's women's team after the Paris Olympics, complicating Nigeria's bid.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) faces a formidable challenge in convincing Herve Renard to become the next coach of the Super Eagles, following Finidi George's resignation in June amid disappointing World Cup qualifier results against South Africa and Benin.

Reports indicate the NFF's interest in appointing a foreign Technical Adviser alongside a yet-to-be-named Indigenous coach. Renard, currently coaching France's women's national team, has announced plans to step down after the Paris Olympics.

Despite Nigeria's pursuit, the United States and several Saudi Arabian clubs are also in talks with Renard, who boasts a distinguished career including two Africa Cup of Nations victories with different teams and recent World Cup campaigns with Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
