NiDCOM urges Nigerians in the diaspora to invest in their home country, highlighting the importance of resources, skills, and networks they can contribute to Nigeria's development. Officials also caution about the potential risks of international immigration policies, emphasizing Nigeria as the ultimate destination for citizenship.
The Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) is urging Nigerians living abroad to invest in their home country. During a sensitization event in Bauchi, Engr. Sule Yakubu emphasized that while diasporans may face challenges in foreign countries, they are first-class citizens in Nigeria. He highlighted the significant contributions that Nigerians abroad can make, citing their resources, skills, and global networks as vital to the country’s development.
Yakubu also warned that international policies, particularly under former US President Donald Trump, might result in deportation, urging Nigerians abroad to focus on supporting Nigeria’s growth.
