The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that training for successful candidates in the 2025 constable recruitment will commence on April 12, 2025. Candidates who passed the medical screening must check the recruitment portal for their status and report to designated training centers with required documents.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has confirmed April 12, 2025, as the official start date for the training of successful candidates from the ongoing 2025 constable recruitment exercise. This announcement, made public by PSC Spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani, comes after the completion of the medical screening process, which took place between February 26 and March 12, 2025.
Candidates who passed the screening process are encouraged to visit the official recruitment portal (https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng) to check their application status and print their Training Call-up slips. The portal will be accessible starting March 31, 2025, and all candidates are urged to log in promptly for further instructions.
Once they have received their call-up slips, successful candidates are expected to report to their designated police training institutions between April 12 and 19, 2025, for the documentation process. Those who fail to report on time will forfeit their placement in the training program, with their application considered void.
The PSC provided specific instructions for the candidates, including a requirement to report to the training centers wearing a clean white T-shirt and shorts. Additionally, candidates must bring the following documents: the Training Call-up slip, Application Form submission slip, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip, original and photocopies of certificates, and any other materials listed on the recruitment portal.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to demonstrate commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s vision of a well-equipped and capable police force. Argungu stressed the importance of these recruits in bolstering national security and ensuring the protection of lives, and property, and the defense of Nigeria’s democracy.
This recruitment initiative is seen as a critical step in addressing the growing need for more personnel within the Nigeria Police Force, with hopes of improving law enforcement capacity and ensuring a safer future for all Nigerians.
