Super Eagles head coach Augustine Eguavoen has invited 30 players, including Kano Pillars’ Rabiu Ali, to camp for the 2025 CHAN qualifiers. The squad will face Ghana’s Black Stars in a two-legged tie on December 22 and 28, aiming for a strong performance in the tournament hosted by East African nations.

Head coach Augustine Eguavoen has invited 30 players to join the Super Eagles B camp as preparations ramp up for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers. The competition, set for February and hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, features players exclusively from their countries’ domestic leagues.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the players are expected to report to the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, on Wednesday. Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars leads the squad, having scored eight goals this season. Other notable call-ups include goalkeeper Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars), defender Steven Mayo (Rivers United), and forward Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors).

The Super Eagles B will train ahead of their two-legged tie against Ghana’s Black Stars B. The first leg is set for December 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium, while the return leg will take place on December 28 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Eguavoen’s selection also features talents like Victor Collins (Nasarawa United), who played in Nigeria’s recent AFCON qualifiers, Kazeem Ogunleye (Rangers International), and striker Anas Yusuf (Nasarawa United).

This lineup aims to secure Nigeria’s qualification for CHAN 2025, maintaining the nation’s strong reputation in African football.
