Nigerian Tiktoker Peller has ignited a social media debate after questioning Nigeria’s claim as the "Giant of Africa." In a viral post, he argued that Nigerians should stop deceiving themselves and pointed to South Africa as a more developed and organized nation.

His statement quickly divided social media users, with many either defending Nigeria’s position or agreeing with his perspective. Supporters of Nigeria’s status highlighted the country’s cultural influence, economic potential, and dominance in areas like music and politics. A user wrote, "A lion doesn’t need to announce itself in the jungle. Nigeria’s influence speaks louder than opinions."

Others, however, sided with Peller, arguing that South Africa surpasses Nigeria in infrastructure, governance, and organization. One commenter from South Africa stated, "This country is far more organized, developed, lawful, and democratic. Even their electoral process is top-notch."
