Isaac Bristol, a microblogger known as @PIDOMNigeria, was subjected to harsh treatment by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) after his arrest on August 5. According to reports by FIJ, Isaac was tracked and detained by the National Cybercrime Center (NCCC) and held in solitary confinement for six days in an anti-kidnapping unit before being transferred to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).

During his detention, he was reportedly denied necessities like food and water and kept in handcuffs for the entire duration, causing bruising on his wrists. Isaac was not allowed access to legal representation or contact with his family. Deji Adeyanju, who saw Isaac in custody, described how the police had forcibly abducted him from his home, likening the arrest to an armed robbery.

As of now, the police have set stringent conditions for his bail, requiring two high-level civil servants as sureties. Despite efforts to reach out to Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi for a statement, no response has been received. Isaac's ordeal highlights the severe treatment he has faced while in police custody.
