The West African Examinations Council, Nigeria, has confirmed the commencement date for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates. Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of the Nigeria Office at WAEC, announced that the exam will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and conclude on June 24, 2024.
Dangut emphasized that the examination period would span seven weeks and six days, covering four WAEC member countries: Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. He expressed the council's readiness to conduct the WASSCE, highlighting collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Education, State Ministries of Education, Nigeria Police, and other security agencies.
