Deji Adeleke, the father of Nigerian artist Davido, revealed that his company, Pacific Energy, generates 15% of Nigeria’s electricity. During the Seventh-Day Adventist Church's General Conference, he announced plans for Nigeria's largest thermal power plant, set to launch in January 2025, with a capacity of 1,250 megawatts.
Adedeji Adeleke, the father of renowned Nigerian musician Davido, has revealed that his company, Pacific Energy, is responsible for generating approximately 15% of Nigeria's electricity. This statement was made during the General Conference Annual Council 2024 of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church on October 15.
Adeleke highlighted his significant investments in Nigeria's energy sector, announcing that his thermal power plant is on track to become fully operational by January 2025. He emphasized that the facility, currently under construction with the assistance of Chinese engineering firms, will be Nigeria's largest thermal power plant, boasting a capacity of 1,250 megawatts.
In a video shared on social media by Davido, Adeleke stated, “I’m in the electricity business; I own power plants. I generate about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity. I have Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1,250MW power plant.”
In response to his brother's achievements, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke expressed pride in Deji's accomplishments. He took to social media to commend his brother, stating, “Proud of my big bro always. My Chairman. Our parents always taught us to take everything to God in all that we do. I hope this testimony inspires others not to give up when faced with challenges.”
