A Nigerian-Canadian nurse, Usman Grace Khadijat Olami, was arrested at Lagos Airport for carrying 70 parcels (35.70 kg) of illicit synthetic cannabis known as "Canadian Loud." She claimed to be in Nigeria to meet her boyfriend but is now facing serious charges from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

A Nigerian-Canadian nurse, Usman Grace Khadijat Olami, was apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at Lagos's Murtala Muhammed International Airport on October 4. She was returning from Toronto, Canada, via Paris when customs officials conducted a search of her luggage and discovered 70 parcels of illicit synthetic cannabis, known as "Canadian Loud," weighing a total of 35.70 kilograms.

According to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, Olami claimed she traveled to Nigeria to meet her boyfriend, who instructed her to carry the substantial consignment of drugs. The arrest underscores ongoing efforts by the NDLEA to combat drug trafficking at airports and secure the country’s borders against illegal substances.

The incident has sparked reactions online, with many expressing disbelief that a professional nurse would risk her career and reputation by engaging in such activities. Comments from social media users included shock at her actions, questioning her motivations, and criticizing the decision to transport such a significant amount of illegal drugs.
