Nigerian football legend Segun Odegbami is mourning the loss of his son, Oluwagbeminiyi, whose passing has left fans and loved ones in shock. In a heartfelt tribute shared on Facebook titled "Oluwagbeminiyi Omo Odegbami – The Gentle Pilgrim Returns Home," Odegbami expressed disbelief at having to write about his son in the past tense.
He recounted their last interaction, where Oluwagbeminiyi sought guidance for a documentary project, showcasing his creativity and ambition. Tragically, just hours later, Oluwagbeminiyi fell ill and was rushed to the hospital, his condition rapidly deteriorating.
Despite efforts from medical staff, Oluwagbeminiyi passed away on Good Friday, leaving Odegbami consumed by grief and unanswered questions. Finding solace in faith, Odegbami believes his son's spirit has found peace.
Condolences poured in from hundreds of well-wishers, offering prayers and support to Odegbami and his family during this difficult time.
