In a recent development in Nigerian football, four clubs have secured promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) following the Nigeria National League (NNL) playoffs.
Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors emerged as winners from the Northern NNL conference, with Nasarawa United securing the top spot after defeating Sporting Supreme 2-1, while El-Kanemi Warriors clinched second place with a 4-1 victory over Sokoto United. Meanwhile, in the Southern Conference, Beyond Limits and Ikorodu City FC secured their spots in the NPFL.
Beyond Limits topped their group with seven points after a 1-0 win over Inter Lagos, while Ikorodu City FC secured promotion with a 2-0 victory over Madiba FC.
Beyond Limits, notably, had earlier made history by becoming the first African team to win the Viareggio Cup earlier this year.
These promotions mark significant achievements for these clubs and highlight their competitive prowess in Nigerian football.
