During a retirement dinner for Hajiya Walida Isa, Director of Corps Mobilization at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Hon. Ayodele Olawande, the Minister of State for Youth Development, addressed Nigerian youths, urging them to practice patience in their pursuits. He quoted the adage, “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” to emphasize that meaningful change requires time and persistence.
Olawande praised Isa for her exemplary service, noting her boldness and steadfastness throughout her tenure. He encouraged young people to be diligent and focus on making valuable contributions to the nation, regardless of their roles. He stated, “If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this woman, it’s her courage and commitment. As a youth, stay focused and contribute meaningfully.”
