Nigerian music video director ThankGod 'TG' Omori has bravely shared his recent battle with kidney failure. In a heartfelt announcement on X, the 29-year-old revealed that he underwent a kidney transplant on August 26, 2024, with a generous donation from his only brother. Omori expressed his gratitude, stating, "Yesterday my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again."

The director, known for his work with prominent artists such as Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, also shared emotional images from his hospital bed, where he fought back tears while asking followers to "keep my spirit alive." Born in Cross River State and raised in Lagos, Omori began his career at 20 after graduating from PEFTI Film Institute.

In previous interviews, Omori has spoken about his struggles with depression after failing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 2012. Despite these challenges, he persevered, thanks to the support of a church pastor who sponsored his education when his father could not afford the fees.
